Saisha Sawhney is the Centre Director and Developmental Psychologist at The Cub, where she leads a multidisciplinary team providing neurodevelopmental assessments, therapy, parent support, and clinician training.
She has over six years of work experience and holds an MSc in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology from University College London and a BA in Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington. She has also completed a Diploma in Narrative Therapy Practices in collaboration with the Dulwich Centre, Australia.
Alongside leading The Cub, Saisha runs a private practice supporting children, adolescents, and adults with neurodevelopmental differences, emotional regulation, trauma, anxiety, identity development, and relationship difficulties. She is particularly interested in understanding the individual behind the diagnosis and works collaboratively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to develop meaningful, practical, and developmentally informed interventions.
Prior to joining The Cub, Saisha worked as a Developmental Psychologist at Children First, where she provided therapy and facilitated social communication groups for neurodivergent children and adolescents. She also worked as a Special Educator at Vasant Valley School, supporting neurodivergent students within inclusive classrooms and collaborating with teachers and families to promote their academic, social, and emotional development.
Her clinical work focuses on neurodevelopmental differences, emotional regulation, anxiety, trauma, identity development, and relationships. She works collaboratively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on practical, individualised, and developmentally appropriate support.
